Keep Fit

I went to my training centre again

Yes, yesterday late morning, after the visit to my allergy doctor, I trundled into ‘The Wellness Club’ and slowly got into motion. I found it easier than my last visit and I am sure my visit tomorrow will be even easier.

I took some photos to send to Ian and Birgit in London who kindly paid for a years membership as their Christmas present to me. Fortunately there were not many people there and so I was able to get a few clear shots of the main training area.

The Wellness Club is on three floors and these shots were taken on floor two. The saunas, badminton, squash and reception areas are on the first floor as you enter and here you can see my special room – the area for back and leg stretching exercises! The third floor is for warming up by rowing, walking or other machines, and there is a large room for things like judo, kick boxing, tai-chi and other things I can hardly pronounce.

The Club is in an old ex-industrial centre, founded by Seimens, on the side of the River Spree and faces south so we get the sun all day. There is a sun terrace with seats and lounges where people relax after the sauna.

My trainer is called Antje, but unfortunately she was not on duty when I was there so no photo. She is very good and used to work with Dieter, my old trainer and has mainly continued the training he devised for me based on doctors reports.
