Nearly

Nearly another week has gone by since my last post. It was a relaxing period in which I started reading another book. It is’ Edmund Burke: The visionary who invented modern politics’, written by Jesse Norman who is a MP. There is a quote by Boris Johnson on the front page as follows – ‘Jesse Norman has brought back Burke in triumph –  and not before time’. Thanks Boris – now you can go back to sorting out your problems! The weather is slowly looking more like Spring so I have been on longer walks in the last few days.

Last Wednesday, Thorsten arrived to help me with some lap-top problems and to practice a bit more on my LG Smartphone. He will be coming tomorrow to continue his good work. Last Thursday, Johanna dropped in for a cup of tea and a glass of ‘medicine’. I joined her. Yesterday I joined a Labour International meeting via Zoom. The topic was ‘Wealth, Power and Taxation’ led by John Trickett MP. He spoke very well and clearly and it was interesting to hear how he presented the topic. If you are interested then Google his name and read what he has to say While you are on the internet type in, ‘Irish Rebellion of 1798’ I got this information from the Edmund Burke book. The things I still have to learn – and not just about a Smartphone. Enjoy your Sunday.
