Bonfire

It is the 5th November which means it is Bonfire Day in the UK. Lots of fireworks with the fires in the evening and toffees, grilled food and of course, all washed down with a beer, or two! The origin was a few hundred years ago when a man called Guy Fawkes and friends put gunpowder into the cellars under the Houses of Parliament to blow up the King and members of parliament. They were arrested by guards before they could light the gunpowder. They were later executed. Now it is a festival in the UK. Have fun and enjoy your sausages grilled in the bonfires!
